SSC Invigilator Guidelines for a Smooth Examination Process




Ensuring a fair and disciplined examination environment is crucial for the success of SSC exams. Here are the detailed guidelines for invigilators to follow during the exam:

🔹 Important Instructions for SSC Invigilators


❗ Prohibited Items

Invigilators must not bring mobile phones 📱 inside the examination center.

Students must not carry electronic devices, calculators, or mobile phones into the exam hall.


📌 Invigilator Responsibilities Before the Exam


Arrival Time: Invigilators should reach the examination center by 8:30 AM.
✅ Female Students Checking: Only female teachers should check girl students.
✅ Hall Allocation: Exam halls will be randomly assigned through a lottery system.
Identity Card: Invigilators must wear their identity card before entering the exam hall.

📌 Invigilator Responsibilities During the Exam


Entering the Hall: Invigilators should be inside the assigned hall by 9:00 AM.
Checking Materials: Ensure that students don’t have any extra papers.
✅ Distributing OMR Sheets:

Read students' names loudly while distributing OMR sheets.

Students should verify their name before using the sheet.

✅ Answer Sheet Verification:

Check for Serial Number (S.No) on the Main Answer Sheet.

Ensure that answer sheets are in serial order.
OMR Sheet Handling:

Students must sign on the OMR sheet, and invigilators should verify it before signing.

Stickers and signatures should be completed before 9:25 AM.
✅ Hall Ticket Verification: Cross-check students' Hall Tickets before they sign the OMR sheets.

✅ Paper Numbering:

Ensure that the Main Answer Sheet Number is written on OMR Sheets, Bit Paper, and Graph Sheets.

Students must not write Hall Ticket Number anywhere except on the Question Paper

Invigilator Signatures:

Sign on Part-B, Map, and Graph provided to students.

After students finish the exam, they must write "THE END" on the last page, and the invigilator should sign

Student Movement:

Avoid frequent movement of students outside the exam hall.

If students need to use the washroom, ensure strict monitoring.

Collecting Answer Sheets:

Ensure that all answer sheets are collected before allowing students to leave.

Verify the answer sheet count before submission.

Tagging Answer Sheets Properly:

Inform students to tag the Bit Paper at the end of the Answer Sheet.

Ensure that students do not mistakenly tag the Question Paper instead.

Arranging Answer Sheets:

Arrange answer sheets in order before submitting them.

Hand them over only to the assigned authorities.
Final Answer Sheet Verification:

Make sure that all details on OMR Parts 1 & 2 are correctly filled.

Strike through empty pages in the answer booklets.

Handling Malpractice Cases:

If a student is found writing the exam for someone else, inform CS or DO immediately.

Absent Students:

Cancel the OMR Sheet of absent students using red ink without disturbing the barcode.
OMR Barcode: Do not disturb or damage the OMR barcode while handling sheets.

Packing Answer Sheets:

Ensure that the Answer Sheet bundle is packed properly.

Assist in the secure sealing of answer scripts.

🚫 Do not switch exam halls.
🚫 Do not change seating arrangements.
🚫 Do not allow unauthorized persons inside the exam hall.
🚫 If an invigilator needs to leave, they must arrange a reliever before leaving.
🚫 Keep the exam environment disciplined and fair.
